Jayant hits back at Akhilesh: Says "there is a lot more beyond ABCD, will show when the time comes"

Baghpat, August 27 : Visiting Baghpat on Thursday, Union Minister of State and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary sharply countered Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's remarks in Khekra. He stated, "There is a lot more beyond ABCD; we will show it when the time comes." He also appealed to party workers to maintain restraint, adding that no one should cross the Lakshman Rekha (line of propriety).

Jayant Chaudhary was attending the inauguration of a library developed by the Anandya Foundation under 'Project Pustakalaya' at Gandhi Vidyalaya Inter College in Khekra. Emphasizing the need to maintain political decorum, he noted that while political opposition has its place, the boundaries of language and conduct should not be breached.

Responding to the poster controversy, he said he had no knowledge of who put up the posters. Taking a swipe at Akhilesh Yadav’s remark regarding RLD getting more seats in the NDA, he quipped, "Should we send him to advocate for us?"

On the issue of rising sugar prices, Chaudhary stated that the new sugarcane crushing season is about to begin, and it is the hard work of sugarcane farmers that brings sweetness to every household. This benefits not only the farmers but also sugar mill workers and the entire industry. Targeting the opposition, he said that instead of standing for farmers' interests, confusion is being spread in the name of inflation.

Regarding the UGC matter, he mentioned that the Supreme Court's directives are being adhered to. Recalling his meeting with the Prime Minister, he stressed the importance of connecting the new generation with the ideals of Chaudhary Charan Singh.

Discussing the education system, he highlighted that improving schools is not the sole responsibility of the government; it requires active participation from both parents and students. In line with this vision, libraries have been developed across 36 schools through 'Project Pustakalaya'.

Prior to the event, Jayant Chaudhary paid his respects at the tehravin (memorial ritual) of Ranjeet Singh in Khekra and 108-year-old Chhoturam in Basi village. He later interacted with students and athletes to learn about their requirements. Following the program, he also visited the Chaudhary Ajit Singh Gyan Vatika (Jat Bhawan) in Baghpat.
