'Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke' in and around the national capital Delhi

New Delhi, July 24 . It has been raining heavily in most parts of the national capital Delhi-NCR since this morning. Yesterday also there was light rain in some parts. Due to this the temperature has dropped. India Meteorological Department says that today and tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday) there may be light to moderate rainfall in Delhi. Meanwhile, due to the good weather, the air quality of the national capital has improved.

The department estimates that today's temperature may drop by up to two degrees Celsius. It can be recorded up to 34 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday, Delhi's maximum temperature was recorded at 36.2 degrees Celsius, one degree more than normal. The minimum temperature remained at normal level at 27.4 degrees Celsius. The air level ranged from 95 to 65 percent. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's AQI was 93 on Tuesday. This level of air is kept in the 'satisfactory' category.

There was good rain at some places in the capital Delhi till 5.30 yesterday evening. 6.6 mm rainfall has been recorded in Palam, drizzle in Lodhi Road and Ridge area, 0.7 mm in Ayanagar, 6.0 in Pusa area, 3.5 in Pitampura and 8.5 mm in Mayur Vihar.

Delhi Traffic Police shared the photo and details on the X handle this morning. It said that due to damage to the sewerage pipeline in Ashoka Road, traffic is affected from C-Hexagon towards Windsor Palace in front of 14, Ashoka Road. Delhi Traffic Police has advised people to plan their travel accordingly.
